Custom Designs for Your Wedding

Starting the project

For your wedding, all of the custom work we create is designed around your vision and the colors and theme/aesthetic of your wedding or event. The process begins with an email or Facebook message conversation where you explain what you would like your custom design to include and in what time frame.

From there I will give you a custom design quote and timeline for your order. The custom quote will confirm the items you're interested in, design direction, quantities, costs, and deadlines.  At this point, there will be a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin working on your project. Due to my volume of commission inquiries, if your project is not prepared to start in the next 3 months, there will be a 20% non-refundable project hold.


Understanding your vision

Next, we'll get started on the fun part - creating your unique design!! The easiest way to start capturing your look and feel is for for brides to send any images that they have for inspiration. Thank goodness for Pinterest! While your wedding suite will ultimately be one of a kind, understanding what you like or dislike will help with creating the direction, vision, and ultimate design for your wedding. If necessary, I'll create a "mood board" to capture what you are looking for and make sure we are on the same page .

 

Sketching your design

After that, comes the design sketch. I will do a basic sketch of your stationery, which will show you the layout, colors, and give you a sense of how everything will look in the final version. At this time, you'll give your input and any revisions you may have on the sketch. The price will include two rounds of revisions to the sketch, so you'll be free to make any changes you like without worrying about the cost.

After you have approved the sketch, I will paint the final version of your wedding invitation and put together a proof for you. Once you receive the final version, you will again have two revisions included in the cost of the invitation to tweak anything you would like changed. Because you will have seen and approved the sketch at this point, we generally find that any changes to the final are minor such as wording, spacing changes, or minor color tweaks. Of course, additional revisions are possible, but they will billed at the rate of $75 per hour.

Unfortunately I do not offer printing services, so at this time you can also send me any necessary information on image bleeds and image format you would need. 

Once you have approved the final design, the balance payment of 50% of the total cost of the project will be due. Once payment is received, I will send you your final custom designs!

Once the wedding suite is complete, if brides are interested in other wedding designs such as day of wedding signage, we can start those conversations as well!
